Cadden took over the struggling football program in the midst of a great deal of turmoil at Frederick High School. The school was under construction to make way for a new school, there was a high rate of coaching turnover in athletics and while the basketball programs were peaking, football had fallen into disrepair. Cadden, who stepped in in 2023 after serving as the defensive coordinator, took his team to the state quarterfinals in &#8217;23 and &#8217;24. Cadden when asked if this was it for his coaching career said: &#8220;No. I definitely can see myself coaching somewhere soon.
